“What is Quality?”

That’s the question tormenting a Philosophy professor’s mind while traveling by motorbike

from Minnesota to California with his son.

His discipline gave him answers to what Just was or True or Beautiful,

but no one had written about Metaphisics of Quality

(that, as such, might probably include Ethics, Ontology, and Aesthetics in itself) yet.

How come that we perceive more value when associated with certain events, objects,

experiences and less when associated with others?

The answer that he will find is Question.

It’s questioning experiences that makes them valuable. And the more we question them,

the higher the quality they get.

Creating Quality is the same as seeking for it.

Value enters our lives at the very moment we start longing for it and pursuing it is cultivating it already.

It is a Divinity that cannot but listen to our prayers and infuse with itself any aspect of our life

we want to improve.

Anything: even a motorbike gear being taken care of.

As Zen teaches: no matter how small and apparently meaningless a gesture may be,

the road to its perfection is infinite.

Quality is going ahead on the road of perfection.
