Today I present you one of the most important albums of the decade of the 80s: Manuel Göttsching_E2-E4. A work of art without palliative. Manuel Göttsching, is a composer and guitarist from Berlin, one of the founding fathers of contemporary electronic music. His style and technique influenced a multitude of artists on the New Age scene of the 80s and 90s. His E2 E4 is considered one of the primogenial roots of styles like Techno, or House. An album that lasts almost 60 minutes, with an incredible progression that makes it almost divine … On the other hand, in 1989, Andrea Gemolotto, Italian DJ and producer, considered one of the pioneers of the Italian House scene, created a track he called “Sueño Latino”, later remixed by none other than Derrick May. On this track, Andrea samples and loops parts of E2-E4. In the first version, Carolina Damas, a true character, is in charge of giving voice to the track. Unleash her sensuality, and delights us with a magnificent performance. Here is his poem: I dream that you give it to me and I feel it all inside me. Kiss me, I’m taking a bath. Fresh water is entering me. Love, I love you, I feel you, your voice is like a song that takes me into a world of water and poetry, where neither time nor space separate me from your love. I love you, I feel you. The harmony of your body, the soft sound of your voice, enters my skin and reaches my heart. It takes me in the valley where there is no limit between truth and falsehood, where love is the only thing. Yes love. As expected, Andrea and her record label, “Dance Floor Corporation”, were denounced by Manuel Göttsching’s lawyers, since the samplers used in “Sueño Latino” were more than evident, recognizable and very recurrent. I suppose they would reach an editorial agreement, since the album was never taken off the street. Together with Lil Louis’s “French Kiss”, it was the most popular album in Ibiza in 1989.
